The National Energy Conservation Center, China (NECC) and the Energy Conservation Center, Japan (ECCJ) signed a memorandum of understanding for mutual cooperation

Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Japan-China Economic Association co-hosted the "Fourth Japan-China Energy Conservation and Environment Forum”, together with the China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China on November 8, 2009 in Beijing.
This forum is a government-business joint forum established with the aim of sending the message on the way of the proceeding toward the mutual cooperation between Japan and China in the field of energy conservation and the environment.
Attended by the leaders from both sides in governments and businesses, the forum was successfully held with the events which included a keynote speech by both leaders of China and Japan in governments and businesses, project presentations with the signing ceremony, and separate working sessions for the discussion and information exchange on the experiences, policies, and problems in seven energy conservation and environment related fields in which both China and Japan have taken interests in common.
As a result, the National Energy Conservation Center, China (NECC) and the Energy Conservation Center, Japan (ECCJ) signed a memorandum of understanding for the purpose of building a comprehensive framework for mutual cooperation for further improvement of the capacity of the NECC.
