The new draft standards for computers and magnetic disk units were determined based on the Top Runner Program

The energy efficiency standards subcommittee for computers and magnetic disk units, created at the 11th energy efficiency standards committee (held on April 24, 2008), made the total of three rounds of discussion since February 2009. As a result of this, the new draft standards of computers and magnetic disk units were determined based on the Top Runner standard.
