    • Introduce some penalty with appropriate mechanism
  • More emphasize on product development rather than energy efficiency
    • Changing the way of thinking by more educating on EC
  • Bureaucratic and process oriented
    • Simplify and shorten the process as well as focusing more on the result-based approach
  • No motivation for energy manager
    • Set up a more comprehensive energy manager accreditation with a special recognition ( Introduce an examination system )

    • Immediate initiation by related government agencies
  • No coordination among the government agencies
    • Pushing for more awareness among government officials, end-users and the general public
  • Lack of competent human resources and financial resources
    • Apply the successful developed mechanism from other countries

    • Involving more human capacity into EC activities i.e. training, workshop, conference and business

    • Set up energy database, labs and related standards
  • No coordination between EC implementing organizations
    • Integrate all EC activities with a management of a unique authorized organization controlled by the government

What we have learnt
  • EC and environmental concerns have to come together
  • Good energy management is the key of success
  • Strong focusing on target with a full support from top management is a must
  • Visualization of energy usage can create more awareness and participations on EC
  • Sharing on success is an effective way to promote EC
  • Strong commitment from government is the basis for successful EC implementation
