Proposed Counter Measures on EE&C
  • Collect energy data and establish database system
  • Establish policies, regulations and enforcement regime
  • Provide financial incentives to implement EE&C measures
  • Put in place a formal Energy Manager training and certification framework for capability building
  • Raise awareness on EE&C by engaging:
    • Top management through seminars
    • Working level staff through small group activities
  • Enhance publicity efforts to disseminate PROMEEC's achievements and solutions
  • Share information on ESCO, training, best practices and successful projects implemented
Proposed Future Direction for Harmonization in National Level Policies & PROMEEC Activities for EE&C
  • Continue existing PROMEEC activities
  • Establish ASEAN Standards on Energy Management and EE&C
  • Set up fund to finance EE&C projects in ASEAN countries
  • Establish Knowledge Management System to share PROMEEC projects' findings, experience as well as to publish best practices and guidelines
  • Expand manpower of ACE to implement EE&C projects in ASEAN countries
  • Create business and industry environment to promote EE&C
