  • While the theoretical mileage of owned automobiles deteriorated in the mid 1990s mainly due to the increased weight of automobiles in use, the level has been improving. Actual mileage is also showing an improvement trend.

6. Theoretical Mileage of Shipped Automobiles and Automobiles Stock(Japan)

  • The theoretical mileage on a shipment base has shown significant improvement since 1997 as a result of efforts by manufacturers to improve mileage levels. Driven by this improvement, mileage on a stock base is also showing an improvement trend.
