1. Trends in Commercial Energy Consumption,GDP and Floor Space (Japan)

  • Energy consumption in the transport sector of Japan has increased constantly and, in particular, the increase by privately owned automobiles has been significant.
  • In the cargo sector, the use of railways has decreased while the use of trucks has increased significantly.
