Characteristics of Energy Consumption in Office Buildings

The energy consumption targets are lower than for other building types.
Air-conditioning, lighting and outlets represent a large proportion of energy consumption.
Due to the spread of office automation equipment, the proportional load on electrical outlets is high.
There is very little energy consumed at night and on holidays.
There is very little hot water used.
There are large windows, so the impact of solar radiation is substantial.
