Case example of audit (4): Plastic product manufacturing

Problems:

Six units of compressors are installed independently, and the number of units in operation is left to personal judgment.
While high temperature water discharged from dies and molding equipment is cooled in the cooling tower for reuse, supply water is heated in the boiler.

Measures:

Combine six compressors to automatically control the number of units in operation.
Control the circulating water volume of the cooling tower.
Recover the steam flowing out of the dies, and return it to the boilers through condenser, vacuum pump, and strainer.

Effect:
      Reduction of power consumption — 24,525kWh/year
      Reduction of heavy oil — 648kL/year
      Total energy-saving rate — 17.2%
