PROPOSED BUDGET

The group proposes an average of US$ 10 million for the period of two (2) years for the activities supporting the energy manager system in ASEAN countries

PROPOSALS OF THE GROUP

FOR HARMONIZATION & COOPERATION WITH THE OTHER ASEAN COUNTRIES & JAPAN

Training on energy management for industries and buildings for ASEAN member countries by Japanese experts to include:
- energy diagnosis, energy auditing, etc.
- practical on-site visits to factories
Training on energy management for industries and buildings by Japanese experts in each ASEAN member countries

RESULTS OF THE TRAINING COURSE

The training materials and site visits are very appropriate to participants
It improved the participants’ knowledge and experience concerning the effective policies and EC activities of Japan
It enhanced the information and experience on EC among ASEAN member countries

CONCLUSION

The training is very useful to all the participants from ASEAN member countries which we can apply in our own EC activities
All the lecturers including the interpreters have been excellent
This training is very well-organized including the accommodations and facilities
A comprehensive Energy Conservation Law is necessary to effectively implement energy efficiency measures in industries and buildings which will result in an increase in energy savings for the country
We hope that the effective activities on EC can be applied/implemented in ASEAN member countries
