  • Gathering of data of the current energy situation (1 year)
  • Conduct of seminars from countries with successful energy conservation law to exchange experiences as well as get input from stakeholders (once a year for 2 years)
  • Request for funding from government and national sponsors
  • Establish a committee (including meetings, seminars, etc.) that will prepare a feasibility study to convince the policy-makers on the need for a law (2 years)
  • Prepare a draft of the law (2 years)

Proposed Solution Establishment of an energy manager system

  • Conduct of seminars for buildings/industries and stakeholders(1 year)
  • Prepare a document on the energy manager system (procedure, institution, standard, etc.) (2 years)/td>

  • Request for funding from government, national and international sponsors
  • Include the creation of an energy manager system in buildings/industries in the draft EC law (3 years)

  • An intensive information campaign (i.e., radio, tv and print ads)
    • Television ads/commercials should be on primetime shows and should be more interesting to viewers
    • Seminars on energy conservation
