3. Reactors/catalyst regenerator |
- Lower reactor pressure - Optimize reactor temperature - Optimize frequency of catalyst regeneration
- Maximize heat recovery from reactor effluent - Install hot separator system in HDS unit - Minimize steam/carbon ratio in H2 manufacturing unit
- High temperature regeneration in FCC unit, or Adopt temperature- resistant catalyst and install regenerator gas expander |

4. Heat exchangers, heating and cooling |
- Optimize temperature of heated tank - Control rundown temperature of oil from process units - On-stream cleaning of heat exchangers (HE) - Inject anti-foulant to HE
- Change from cold charge to hot charge system - Change or add HE (ex. Feed/bottom HE) - Change to high-performance HE (ex. Packinox type) -Change heating source (Steam, process fluid, etc.)
