The amount of steam reduced brought about by these improvements is about 1,400 tons per year, which together with steaming in the steaming process and a reduction in the additional heating, resulted in an improvement in the quality of the pulp.
The improvements implemented by this project were undertaken by all members of the team as an activity of the Quality Control activity circle. The most significant benefit of this project, however, was the increased awareness of all members of the team regarding energy conservation.
