The operation at the Second Pulp Team is conducted from Monday to Friday with three shifts. Since the internal temperature of the digester is lower at the beginning of each week, the steaming time took about five minutes longer when the operation started at the beginning of each week. By holding the raw materials that had been digested over the weekend as a countermeasure for this issue it was possible to prevent the lowering of the temperature. |
6. Effects |
| The amount of steam used after the implementation of improvements was 7.2 tons per digester, which was an effective reduction by about 1.0 ton per digester (Figure 7). |
