- How to calculate annual energy consumption by air conditioning and assumed air conditioning load
-
(1) To calculate using computer simulation (using “BECS” etc., courtesy of the Energy Conservation Center Japan, private corporations have also developed.)
(2) To calculate manually (such as the "EFH method")
Annual energy consumption by air conditioning can be obtained by multiplying the full load hours to the total rated input of the equipment. Values including coefficiencies that are used for calculation are defined in advance based on a massive amount of simulation.
The assumed air conditioning load is calculated based on the thermal load as follows:
- Heat transmission
- Solar radiation
- Internally generated heat
- Load of taking in outside air
- Others
Compared to (1), assumed load is calculated smaller by this method. The reason is as follows:
- During day time, heating load and cooling load both occurs, but daily average data is used for them, so they cancel each other.
