1. Overview of PROMEEC Phase – 2 (2004 –)
Promotion of Energy Efficiency & Conservation (PROMEEC)
Activities were:
  1. Establishment of a standardized evaluation criteria for energy conservation (buildings and major industries);
  2. Transfer of know-how in energy auditing to establish database, guidelines and technical directory for building energy assessment and benchmarking;
  3. Introduction and dissemination of energy conservation technologies and best practices through national and regional workshops
  4. Awarding of model buildings that demonstrate energy savings and best practices; and
  5. Providing recommendations to improve energy management and thus reduce energy consumption (buildings & industries).
