3 Standards of Judgment and Energy Conservation Regarding Air Conditioning Systems
3.1
  • (2-2) Air conditioning systems and hot water supply facilities
    (1) Management of air-conditioning facilities and hot water supply facilities
    1. In air conditioning to maintain the environment required to manufacture and/or store products and maintain work environment for workers, a management manual shall be specified for reduction of load by limiting the section to condition the air, and operation hours of the facility, temperature, frequency of ventilation, and humidity, etc. according to the usage status of the section.
    2. In management of air conditioning of offices etc. in factories, a management manual shall be specified for reduction of load by limiting the section to condition the air and managing blinds, and operation hours of the facility, temperature, frequency of ventilation, humidity, and effective use of outside air, etc. according to the usage status of the section . For the cooling and heating temperatures, the management manual shall consider the setting temperatures recommended by the government.
    3. For management of heat source equipment, heat transfer equipment, and air conditioning system, etc. that comprise air conditioning systems, a management manual shall be specified to improve comprehensive energy efficiency of the air conditioning systems by setting temperature of cooling water, and temperatures and pressures of chilled water and hot water, etc. according to seasonal change of outside air conditions.

3.2
    1. When the heat source equipment of the air conditioning systems is composed of multiple but same type of heat source units, or is composed of multiple heat source units that uses different types of energy, a management manual shall be specified to improve comprehensive energy efficiency of the heat source equipment by adjusting the number of operated units or selecting operating units according to seasonal change of outside air conditions and load fluctuations, etc.
    2. When heat transfer equipment is composed of multiple pumps, a management manual shall be specified to improve comprehensive energy efficiency of the heat transfer equipment by adjusting the number of operated units or selecting operating units according to load fluctuation.
    3. When the air conditioning system is composed of multiple but same type of air conditioning units, or is composed of multiple air condition units of different types, a management manual shall be specified to improve comprehensive energy efficiency of the air conditioning system by preventing mixing loss and adjusting the number of operated units or selecting operating units according to the load status.
