Number of Office Buildings
The graph shows the number of special purpose buildings (office buildings exceeding 3,000 m2 etc.) and the number of hospital energy conservation centers with greater than roughly 2,500 m2 that were investigated on a regional basis. Office buildings accounted for roughly 43% of the total number of buildings.

Note 1) The number of specific buildings is from a publication by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare provided in 2002.
Note 2) The number of commercial buildings is derived from adding the number of department stores and small shops
