1. Matters for energy-consuming facilities, etc.
  • (7) Lighting facilities
For lighting facilities, consideration shall be given to effective use of energy by lighting facilities through the following measures and measures based on the Building Judgment Standards in relation only to matters on efficient use of energy relating to lighting facilities.
    1. For lighting facilities, consideration shall be given to the selection of lighting fixtures with dimming functionality and use of automatic lighting control to enable use of daylight during daytime and to enable power conservation through the appropriate compensation of illumination when lighting facilities are installed or light sources are replaced.
    2. Installing person sensors and use of timers to switch off or dim lighting where not required and at certain times shall be considered.

  • (8) BEMS
For BEMS, action to make efficient use of energy through implementation of measures such as the following shall be considered.
    1. Consideration shall be given to making core energy management facilities capable of energy control based on power system, year, season, month, week, day, and hour and enabling the determination of trends in energy consumption for comparison in figures and graphs.
    2. Consideration shall be given to overall energy saving control of air-conditioning facilities and electricity facilities.
    3. Consideration shall be given to enabling comparison of equipment and facility maintenance status, operating hours and operative features, and determination of matters including state of deterioration of equipment and facilities and maintenance times.

2. Other matters for streamlining of energy use
  • (1) Matters for consideration to enable efficient use of thermal energy
    • To promote efficient use of heat, data shall be developed for the overall energy use from the perspective of effective energy (exergy), and consideration shall be given for optimizing the thermal consistency of heat use.
  • (2) Use of excess steam, etc.
    1. Where high-temperature combustion gas or steam with utility value is present at a plant, consideration shall be given to effective use for purposes such as power generation and work power in line with the perspective described in (1). Maximizing the efficiency of conversion of heat to motive power by compound power generation and maximizing steam conditions shall be considered.
    2. Where resources such as excess heat and steam are present at a plant, effective use at other plants and in the consumer sector based on the perspective described in (1) shall be considered.
