- (6) Air-conditioning facilities, water-heating facilities, ventilation facilities, and elevator facilities, etc.
- For air-conditioning facilities, consideration shall be given to efficient use of energy of air-conditioning facilities through the following measures and based on the Building Judgment Standards, in relation only to matters for prevention of heat loss through outside walls and windows, etc. of buildings and matters for the efficient use of energy in relation to air-conditioning facilities.
- Consideration shall be given to use of heat-storage heat pump systems and gas air-conditioning systems, etc., using high-efficiency heat sources. Where there exists simultaneous cooling and heating demand at a plant, use of heat recovery systems shall be considered. Where effective use can be made of waste heat, use of waste-heat driven heat sources shall be considered.
- For the walls and roofs of air-conditioning parts, maximizing thermal insulation efficiency of such parts through such means as increasing thickness, use of materials with low coefficient of thermal conductivity and doubling of thermal insulation shall be considered. For windows, measures to shield from sunlight by using blinds, IR reflecting glass and selective transparency film shall be considered.
- For air-conditioning facilities, reduction of load with outside air treatment through the use of air intake control using CO2 sensors, total heat exchangers, or similar equipment shall be considered. For cooling at times other than during summertime, reduction of energy consumption of heat sources cooling by water-cooling by cooling towers or cooling by outside air shall be considered.
- For air-conditioning facilities, use of systems enabling a large temperature difference enabling airflow and circulating water flow to be minimized shall be considered.
- Use of insulating materials with a low coefficient of thermal conductivity for pipes and ducts to increase thermal insulation efficiency shall be considered.
- For water-heating facilities, consideration shall be given to effective use of the energy of water-heating facilities based on the following measures and based on Building Judgment Standards for only matters on efficient use of energy relating to water-heating facilities. For installing water-heating facilities, use of heat pump systems using high-efficiency heat sources and condensation heat recovery systems, etc., shall be considered.
- For power used for ventilation of indoor parking facilities, machine rooms, electriity rooms, and similar facilities, reduction of power requirements through the use of airflow control by sensors shall be considered.
- For elevator and escalator facilities, those doing so shall carry out effective operation based on use by suspension of operation through installing sensors when no users are present.
