Long-term strategy recommendation with energy situation – To prepare for uncertainty of future energy situation, show multiple scenarios / choices such as reengineering
The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, at the “Energy Information Consultation Meeting” on April 10, summarized the recommendations of the energy strategy based on the long-term viewpoint of 2050. Regarding renewable energy, it stipulates that it aims at “economically self-sustaining and decarbonizing main power supply”. While reducing dependence on nuclear power, it will be useful as one of the options. Do not step on the power supply configuration in either case. While preparing energy stance and decarbonization attitude clearly, prepare multiple scenarios to prepare for uncertainty of future energy situation. It is expected to be utilized in the formulation of the energy basic plan discussed at another experts’ meeting and the long-term strategy based on the Paris agreement.
