The Agency for Natural Resources and Energy started “Energy Conservation Communication Ranking System”
The Agency for Natural Resources and Energy (ANRE) of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) launched a full-scale operation of “Energy Conservation Communication Ranking System” from FY2022. It will survey the adequacy of services such as provision of energy conservation information for general consumers to the business operators of electricity, city gas and others. The status will be announced annually and rated by the number of stars earned. The survey will be conducted from April to July and the results will be announced around November.
Implementation of this system is a part of the initiatives to achieve energy conservation targets stated in the Sixth Basic Energy Plan and the purpose is to provide with the energy conservation information by the energy retailers.
This information is aimed to become the reference for general customers to select the electricity and gas companies as well as to promote energy savings in households based on the provided energy conservation information.
