Dispatch of Energy Conservation experts to China
Under the instruction and financial support of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), the Energy Conservation Center, Japan (ECCJ) dispatched experts to conduct support activities from June 19 to 22, 2018 focusing on energy conservation in the university sector for promotion of energy conservation in China.
This dispatch of experts was conducted for the purpose of introducing and giving lectures on an energy conservation policy, basic concept and key points of energy conservation, and energy conservation methods in the university sector for political officials and on-site energy managers in China.
●Seminar and lecture in Kunming, Yunnan
●Meeting with Energy Management Committee of China Association for Campus Management, etc.
This seminar picked up managerial and technological aspects such as overall energy conservation at Japanese universities, energy management by collaboration of academic and administrative personnel toward realization of low-carbon eco-campus (activity at Nagoya University) and a model of energy conservation practices at Japanese universities including facilities and energy conservation actions (activity at Mie University).
seminar was also part of energy conservation dissemination activities at Chinese universities; information was also provided from the Chinese side (introduction of an energy conservation case at a technical college as Shunde Polytechnic). Also comments were exchanged on the effective way of energy conservation activities at universities between dispatched experts and Energy Management Committee of Chinese Association for Campus Management which promotes energy conservation activities at Chinese universities.
