Implementation of workshop in Japan for Energy Conservation support program for Myanmar
Under the instruction and financial support of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), the Energy Conservation Center, Japan (ECCJ) implemented an energy conservation support program for Myanmar.
ECCJ supports to make draft of Energy Manager System and EC Guideline. The workshop held from 18th to 22nd June for 5 days in Japan invited 9 participants who are the staffs of MOI and concerned Industrial Society people.
Now the Energy Conservation Law is under preparation for enactment in 2020. The supplementary regulations of the EC Law are also under preparation and ECCJ has supported in capacity building to establish those regulations such as Energy Manager System and EC Guideline and so on.
This time, ECCJ held a workshop for the Energy Manager System and EC Guideline to be completed its draft.
As they have a plan to make an Energy Management Training Center (EMTC), they visited EMTC of a Japanese private company to see the part of program and training equipment.
ECCJ will continue to support them by dispatching experts a few more times to Myanmar in this year.
