Singapore Energy Efficiency Symposium

Organized by The Energy Conservation Center, Japan (ECCJ)
Sponsored by Economic Development Board and National Climate Change Secretariat, Strategy Group,
Prime Minister’s Office (PMO)
Venue: Ministry of National Development, JEM Office Tower, 52 Jurong Gateway Road, Singapore 608550,
Level 6 Auditorium

 Background

Singapore aims to reduce its Emissions Intensity by 36% from 2005 levels and to stabilise its emissions with the aim of peaking around 2030. The manufacturing sector is an important part of Singapore’s economy, and has a role to play in contributing to Singapore’s efforts to manage carbon emissions.

Improving energy efficiency in the manufacturing sector is a key strategy. We encourage companies to be lead adopters of technology to be energy efficient, as this will help companies, as well as Singapore’s economy, be more competitive in a carbon-constrained world.

 Objective

Companies are invited to hear ECCJ and their partner companies’ perspectives on energy conservation, and increase awareness of best-in-class technologies that can serve the energy and chemicals industry in Singapore.

The symposium will include the following topics:
1) Latest trends in Energy Efficiency & Conservation (EE&C) activities in Japan

2) Latest EE&C technologies and best practices for the energy and chemicals industry

3) Practical investment opportunities and business matching for manufacturing plants in Singapore.
